We are often asked where are you located in the Hudson Valley? Watergrasshill Bed & Breakfast is tucked away just enough for a peaceful stay, yet close enough to make getting here easy. We’re located 7 miles from the New Paltz exit of the New York State Thruway and about 80 miles north of New York City. Whether you’re arriving by car, train, bus, or even bicycle via the Empire State Trail, the journey here is simple and scenic.

Set on 15 acres between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Hudson River, our farmhouse is surrounded by open farmland, apple trees, and wide mountain views. It’s the kind of quiet you notice right away—the kind that invites you to slow down, step outside, and take a deep breath.
From our front door, you’re perfectly positioned to explore the Hudson Valley. The charming towns of Gardiner and New Paltz are just minutes away, offering local shops, restaurants, and cafes. World-class hiking in the Shawangunks is a short drive, and the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail is within walking distance—ideal for a relaxed stroll, bike ride, or morning run.
If you’re in the mood to wander a little farther, Kingston, Beacon, and Rhinebeck are all within a 35-minute drive, each filled with bookstores, boutiques, galleries, and great food—perfect for an unhurried afternoon of exploring the quaint towns that make the Hudson Valley so special.

Whether your plans include hiking, town-hopping, or simply settling in with a good book and a view, Watergrasshill offers a comfortable, well-located home base for experiencing the Hudson Valley at your own pace.
