Join us for an enchanting evening of culinary creation at our Bed and Breakfast with our specially curated canapé class led by the talented Chef Jennie Gaffney. This class takes place in our kitchen studio space, specifically designed for cooking classes, ensuring an optimal learning environment for both novice cooks eager to learn and seasoned food enthusiasts looking to enhance their appetizer game. Immerse yourself in the art of elegant, bite-sized delights that are sure to impress at any gathering.

Class Menu:

  • Gazpacho Shooter with Crème de Brie: Start the evening with a refreshing gazpacho served in a chic shooter glass, topped elegantly with a dollop of smooth crème de Brie. Chef Jennie will guide you through the techniques to balance the robust flavors of fresh tomatoes with the creamy subtlety of Brie.
  • Oven Baked Halloumi with Hot Honey Whipped Feta: Discover the secrets to baking the perfect halloumi to golden, crispy perfection and pairing it with a spicy-sweet hot honey whipped feta. This dish is a cheese lover’s dream, combining rich textures and bold flavors.
  • Calabrian Chili Meatballs: Add a little spice to your canapé repertoire with these zesty meatballs spiced with Calabrian chili. Learn how to mix, season, and cook these little bites to achieve maximum flavor and juiciness.
  • Caramelized Onion + Gorgonzola Palmiers: Chef Jennie will show you how to craft these sophisticated puff pastry spirals, filled with sweet caramelized onions and tangy Gorgonzola cheese. Achieve the perfect flaky texture and rich, layered flavors in each bite.
  • Peach Bruschetta: Conclude the class with a sweet and savory bruschetta, topping crispy toasted baguette slices with juicy, fresh peaches and a creamy whipped ricotta, all drizzled with a balsamic glaze.

Chef Jennie is a locally based Hudson Valley Chef that focuses on both the health benefits and mouthwatering reasons for getting back to real food! She grew up in a household with mainly processed food, so her schooling at both Le Cordon Bleu and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition really fueled her passion for real ingredient cooking. With so many delicious options in our area to eat farm-fresh, she loves taking advantage of what the current season has to offer. She takes immense amounts of pride in her attention to detail and genuinely loves expanding what she does for a living as a craft.
