About The Event
Gluten free baking from home can be quick and easy with a little practice and the right recipes! In this class you'll learn gluten free baking techniques from a classically trained pastry chef. Chef Melissa Walnock from the CIA Apple Pie Bakery Cafe will walk you step-by-step through 3 classic recipes, all reinvented to be gluten free. Whether you are baking for yourself, or a friend or family member with dietary restrictions, you will be sure to reuse these foolproof recipes at home. We hope to see you there!

Melissa Walnock is A Certified Hospitality Educator of baking and pastry arts at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Chef Walnock serves as pastry chef and instructor in the college’s Apple Pie Bakery Café. Before joining the CIA faculty, Chef Walnock worked at some of the finest restaurants in the United States including The French Laundry in Yountville, CA, Jean-Georges V Steakhouse, Union Square Café in New York City and The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL.
