In this immersive class, you'll explore the versatility of local apples through a delicious menu inspired by the rich flavors of fall. Chef Jennie will guide you step-by-step as you create:
- Local Apple Tasting: Begin with a tasting of various local apple varieties, learning about their unique flavors and best uses in cooking.
- Apple Butternut Squash Soup: Craft a comforting and creamy soup that marries the sweet notes of apples with the hearty richness of butternut squash.
- Apple Stuffed Pork Tenderloin with Apple Brandy Caramel: Prepare a succulent pork tenderloin stuffed with apples, complemented by a decadent apple brandy caramel sauce.
- Warm Brussels Sprout Salad with Apples, Asiago, and Toasted Pecans: Enjoy a vibrant salad featuring crisp Brussels sprouts, crisp apples, sharp Asiago cheese, and crunchy toasted pecans.
- Apple Bread Pudding: End on a sweet note with a classic apple bread pudding, perfect for savoring the flavors of the season.
Chef Jennie’s hands-on approach ensures you’ll leave with new skills and recipes to recreate these dishes at home. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of cooking, tasting, and enjoying the very best of Hudson Valley apples!
*This class is BYOB and guests over the age of 21 are invited to bring their drink of choice to enjoy during the class.
Chef Jennie is a locally based Hudson Valley Chef that focuses on both the health benefits and mouthwatering reasons for getting back to real food! She grew up in a household with mainly processed food, so her schooling at both Le Cordon Bleu and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition really fueled her passion for real ingredient cooking. With so many delicious options in our area to eat farm-fresh, she loves taking advantage of what the current season has to offer. She takes immense amounts of pride in her attention to detail and genuinely loves expanding what she does for a living as a craft.
