Spend an evening immersed in chocolate with Chef Melissa Walnock, in this hands-on dessert class designed for chocolate lovers and curious home bakers alike.

This class goes beyond recipes and into the why behind great chocolate desserts. Through a mix of demonstration and guided participation, Chef Walnock will break down essential pastry techniques while exploring how chocolate behaves, tastes, and transforms in different applications.


Students will:

  • Learn ganache fundamentals and chocolate tempering while crafting silky chocolate truffles

  • Master egg foam techniques to achieve perfectly molten centers in classic lava cakes

  • Explore balance and texture through a rich, nostalgic Take 5–inspired chocolate tart
